The Friends of the Library Semi- Annual Book Sale

 At the Lynn Thomas Team we believe it is important to be a part of, and support our community. And with that we would like to share with you The Friends of the Library semi-annual book sale. But before we get into the details of the sale we would just like to take a minute to express the greatness that this non-profit organization brings to the community. They promote the welfare and growth of the Louisville Free Public Library, they support pro-library advocacy at state and local levels, they fund scholarships for library staff wishing to pursue higher education, they sponsor programs for children, teens, and adults at local branches, they fund library improvements, and they raise over $40,000.00 annually at the spring and fall book sales. This is a great cause that we are proud to share with you and now on with the details. 

This Friday, October 22nd, 23rd, 24th the Friends of the Louisville Public Library, a non-profit (501c ) organization will host their 2010 fall Book Sale in the Douglass Community Center Gym located at 2305 Douglas Blvd. 40205. If you are a member of the Friends of the Louisville Public library they are having a preview sale from 6p.m. to 9p.m. on Friday (memberships are available at the door!)  Public hours are 9a.m. to 5p.m. on Saturday and from 1p.m. to 5p.m. on Sunday. Books are priced at an unbelievable price ALL hardback books are $3.00, but paperbacks and CHILDREN’S BOOKS are 2 for $1.00!  Proceeds from the sale will benefit various children’s programs at the different Library branches throughout Metro. We at the Lynn Thomas Team hope to see you there we love that we can stock up on our favorite genres while helping the community out all at the same time!
